Artist Statement
My experience growing up in west Texas has served me well as an artist. I use my knowledge of animals' forms and personalities to make powerful and whimsical pieces of art. Persian Horse was first a clay piece I sculpted and fired in my studio; it was then cast in bronze using the lost wax process.
It was originally titled Persian Horse but after 9/11 it was re-titled Horse of the Plains. I have recently reverted to the original title to showcase a culture we have avoided for too many years.
This piece has a traditional patina and is a limited edition of 15.
