Flagg Park Trailhead is anticipated to be temporarily closed due to construction activities from September 13, 2013 until December 31, 2013 . The trailhead is located 0 .5 miles east of the intersection of Flagg Drive and 119th Street and provides access to the newly completed section of the Coal Creek Trail between Lafayette and Erie. Trail access will be maintained during construction and vehicles can park at the trailhead located on the east side of 120th Street, approximately ½ mile south of South Boulder Road.
The new trailhead will include 18 regular parking spaces, 1 handicapped space, and 2 trailer spaces. It will also include a mini-kiosk and restroom. The trailhead project is a partnership with the City of Lafayette and Boulder County Transportation and Parks and Open Space departments.
