CARES Grants available for Artists and Organizations
Lafayette announces $200,000 in grant funding for local artists and arts organizations.
The Lafayette Arts and Cultural Resources Department is now accepting online applications from arts related nonprofits and individual artists for Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) funding from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
Nonprofit 501c3 organizations must be based in Lafayette, and/or provide programming in Lafayette, and have been in operation for a minimum of two years prior to submission of an application. Individual artists must be at least 18 years old and have established residency in Lafayette and/or be active in Lafayette's art and cultural scene for a minimum of two years prior to submission of an application.
We recommend submitting well in advance of the deadline. This will give us time to do a preliminary review before the deadline. Make sure your name, address, and W9 are in alignment.
The deadline to apply is 11:59pm on Jan. 29, 2021.
Grants will be reviewed by an independent panel, made up of representatives from the Lafayette Cultural Arts Commission and Arts Lafayette.
