Summer is here!Summertime means a chance to enjoy new books, learn new skills, and discover virtual and in-person programs and activities at the Lafayette Public library. Explore the offerings of your public library in this edition of the LPL newsletter.

Do you know a business who is hiring?The Job Fair for adults 18+ will be held at the Lafayette Public Library on August 18 from 10:30am-4:30pm in the Lower-Level Meeting Room.
Local businesses interested in hiring adults 18+ are invited to host a table during this event. Each business may have one table and one representative present. Please use this form to express your interest in participating.

Read, do engaging activities, earn prizes and digital badges, and help us reach our community goal of 400,000 minutes!

(Adults - don't get left out! Your minutes help towards our community goal, and make you eligible for gift basket prize drawings all summer!)
- Sign up until July 24; participate and redeem prizes until July 31.
If you have done a reading challenge with us before, log into Beanstack, get a password reset if needed, update your details, and select the Summer Reading challenge. - New to Summer Reading and Beanstack? View our program page. Use the Beanstack website or mobile app, and use it to track minutes read or suggested activities. Use your account year-round between challenges to if you'd like to keep track of your reading or write reviews!
Our fabulous Teen Team volunteers upstairs can sign you up, help you log progress, give out paper logs, and help you pick out prizes!

Adventure BackpacksLafayette Library and Lafayette Open Space are pleased to offer a new resource: Adventure Backpacks. They will check out for one week, and are packed with nature-focused books, maps, field guides to local fauna and flora, activities, binoculars, and hand lenses. The adventure begins....soon!
