Commitment to Community

The new Boulder County Public Health Order 2021-07, effective August 10, 2021, requires universal masking for all indoor youth programs and activities.

The order requires all individuals two years of age and over, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks in the following situations:

  • While indoors at any childcare center or childcare facility, regardless of licensing status.
  • While indoors and participating in a youth camp, youth extracurricular activity, youth gym activities, and youth sport. This requirement applies to all participants, attendees, staff, volunteers at library programs, and events for youth.

The Lafayette Public Library will comply with this order while strongly recommending all individuals 2 years of age or older wear masks in all indoor settings regardless of vaccination status. For more information, please visit: Boulder County Public Health Order 2021-07

Vaccination Resources

There are many opportunities in August and September to obtain free vaccinations without appointments. Support Lafayette's Old Town Stroll and get your vaccine on Saturday, Aug. 14 at Festival Plaza. Find details of this event and many more on the City of Lafayette's COVID-19 Vaccination Resources page.
