AARP tax help

Every year, AARP volunteers help the public with free tax advice and filing. Appointments are required, and spaces fill quickly.

  1. Please review the process online before you call or make your appointment.

  2. Call 303-661-1163 to reserve your time or make an appointment online.
  3. Visit the Lobby service desk for a packet that must be filled out in advance and brought to your appointment.
  4. Bring the packet and all required documents and ID to your time slot.
  5. Face coverings are required.
  6. Tax preparation will not be done onsite. Return at the same time the following week (no appointment needed) to review and sign your return.
The Library also expects to have common IRS forms available for pickup. Once those forms have arrived, the Library homepage and tax information page will be updated.
