BBRC Open for Fitness Swim Only Starting June 4

Due to staffing shortages caused by the national worker shortage and competition to hire lifeguards, the BBRC will not be offering open swimming during the summer.
We will continue hosting swim lessons, masters swim, water fitness, and Lafayette Recreation's Happy Trails summer day camp.

May 28-July 31
Earn $15/hr minimum, an extra $1/hr for working over 18 hours weekly, and $1/hr extra for working on Saturdays and Sundays
Aug. 1-Sep. 5
$100 bonus every week you work over 15 hours


Summer Camp Staff
Earn competitive seasonal pay and an additional $3 on top of the hourly wage. Complete camp training and the first week of work, and receive a $100 bonus! 

All staff receives a complimentary recreation center pass.

Hatha Yoga in the Park

Every Sunday in June, enjoy the peace and serenity of a yoga class in one of our scenic parks! Connect with your body, mind, and nature as you experience an all-levels hatha yoga class focusing on basic postures and gentle flow guided by your breath. Bring your yoga mat or a towel, and meet at the Waneka Lake playground.

Men's Weight Training

June is Men's Health Month. Join this small group training, just for men! Taught by a Certified Personal Trainer and specifically designed for men of all ages, Men's Weight Training includes whole-body strength training to improve bone density and balance, and boost metabolism.

Hike Club

Hike and Bike Club

Are you 50 or older and looking for others to hike or bike with? If you answered 'yes’, this club is for you! Join others for 9am hikes beginning at the trailhead or 9am bike rides starting at the Lafayette Senior Center. Bring water, snacks, and appropriate gear. These adventures are free of charge.

Hike South Boulder Creek West, Mesa, and Homestead Trail
June 6 at 9am  | 6.3 miles
Meet at the South Boulder Creek West trailhead (1405 South Foothills Hwy). We'll hike the South Boulder Creek West, Mesa, and Homestead trail, which form a lollypop loop. Hike Flatirons Vista North to Springbrook Trail

June 20 at 9am | 8 miles

Meet at the Flatirons Vista trailhead (3663 State Hwy 93).  We'll hike a loop near Eldorado Springs. Considered to be a challenging route to take over 3 hours. The total elevation gain is about 793 feet. Bring water and a snack.

Family Health and Fitness Day

Bring the whole family and choose from various fun, fitness activities.
