May 28-July 31
Earn $15/hr minimum, an extra $1/hr for working over 18 hours weekly, and $1/hr extra for working on Saturdays and Sundays
Aug. 1-Sep. 5
$100 bonus every week you work over 15 hours


Summer Camp Staff

Earn competitive seasonal pay and an additional $3 on top of the hourly wage. Complete camp training and the first week of work, and receive a $100 bonus! 

All staff receives a complimentary recreation center pass.

Zumba at Festival Plaza

Every Monday in July, join us outside for Zumba®! We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low- and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.

Cardboard Boat Regatta

Cardboard Boat Regatta 

Release your inner engineer to design, build, and navigate a homemade boat made entirely from corrugated cardboard! 

Create boats from corrugated cardboard and any color duct tape only. Any other materials such as glue, caulk, wood, nails, etc., will disqualify the boat and team.
Decorate your ship and crew however you’d like! Two people, wearing life preservers, must be in the boat during the race.

A minimum of 10 registered boats is required, or the regatta won’t float.

Tai Chi Form covers the first third of the form with a short section of meditation and warmup. This class is open to anyone, and any experience level is welcome.

Bob L. Burger Recreation Center Summer Pass Sale

Bob L. Burger Recreation Center and Rose Lueras Pool Closed for Maintenance August 6-14


The BBRC will be closed from Aug. 6-14 to perform repairs and maintenance in areas difficult to access during regular hours. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are pleased to improve the facility for you.

Louisville Recreation Center and Erie Community Center will honor your annual or monthly pass from August 6-14 (this offer does not extend to punch card members.)

We encourage you to visit the Great Outdoors Water Park for open swim and other water-related adventures.

Sunset Yoga and Cider at Acreage Cider House 

Experience a vinyasa yoga class on the lawn at the Lafayette Acreage Cider House where you will link breath to movement through a series of postures designed to build heat, detoxify the body, and calm the soul.

Add in a magnificent sunset over the Rocky Mountains, a glass of cider, and the Lafayette community, and you'll feel nourished, energized, and restored.

Youth Flag Football

Youth Flag Football

Play in this recreational flag football league run in cooperation with Louisville. Twice-weekly practices, held locally, begin the week of August 29 and are one hour in length.

Games will begin Sept. 9 and some travel to Louisville for games will be required. A mouthpiece is required.

BBRC Open for Fitness Swim Only

Rose Lueras Pool Now Offers Open Swim on Specific Days and Times

Due to staffing shortages caused by the national worker shortage and competition to hire lifeguards, the Rose Lueras pool will be offering open swimming at the following times:

  • Sundays: noon-4:30pm
  • Mondays - Thursdays: all pools noon-4pm; River and Play pools 4-7:30pm
  • Fridays: noon-6pm
  • Saturdays: noon-4:30pm

We will continue hosting swim lessons, masters swim, water fitness, and Lafayette Recreation's Happy Trails summer day camp. Please check our website for scheduling updates. We apologize for the inconvenience.
