Cardboard Boat Regatta Release your inner engineer to design, build, and navigate a homemade boat made entirely from corrugated cardboard!
Create boats from corrugated cardboard and any color duct tape only. Any other materials such as glue, caulk, wood, nails, etc., will disqualify the boat and team. Decorate your ship and crew however you’d like! Two people, wearing life preservers, must be in the boat during the race.
A minimum of 10 registered boats is required, or the regatta won’t float.

Bob L. Burger Recreation Center and Rose Lueras Pool Closed for Maintenance August 6-14
The BBRC will be closed from Aug. 6-14 to perform repairs and maintenance in areas difficult to access during regular hours. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are pleased to improve the facility for you.
Louisville Recreation Center and Erie Community Center will honor your annual or monthly pass from August 6-14 (this offer does not extend to punch card members.)
We encourage you to visit the Great Outdoors Water Park for open swim and other water-related adventures.

Sunset Yoga and Cider at Acreage Cider House Experience a vinyasa yoga class on the lawn at the Lafayette Acreage Cider House where you will link breath to movement through a series of postures designed to build heat, detoxify the body, and calm the soul.

Youth Flag FootballPlay in this recreational flag football league run in cooperation with Louisville. Twice-weekly practices, held locally, begin the week of August 29 and are one hour in length.
Games will begin Sept. 9 and some travel to Louisville for games will be required. A mouthpiece is required.

Rose Lueras Pool Now Offers Open Swim on Specific Days and TimesDue to staffing shortages caused by the national worker shortage and competition to hire lifeguards, the Rose Lueras pool will be offering open swimming at the following times: - Sundays: noon-4:30pm
- Mondays - Thursdays: all pools noon-4pm; River and Play pools 4-7:30pm
- Fridays: noon-6pm
- Saturdays: noon-4:30pm
