Bob L. Burger Recreation Center and Rose Lueras Pool Closed for Maintenance Aug. 6-14


The BBRC will be closed from Aug. 6-14 to perform repairs and maintenance in areas difficult to access during regular hours. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are pleased to improve the facility for you.

Louisville Recreation Center and Erie Community Center will honor your annual or monthly pass from Aug. 6-14 (this offer does not extend to punch card members.)

We encourage you to visit the Great Outdoors Water Park for open swim and other water-related adventures.

We take the "work" out of workout by mixing low- and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.

Power Yoga at Waneka Lake

Power Yoga in the Park

Connect with your body, mind, and nature as you experience a vinyasa yoga class at Waneka Lake Park.
A combination of sun salutations, deep opening postures, and strong standing poses will teach you to move with your breath.
Designed with the veteran yogi in mind with modifications given for all levels.

Bring your yoga mat, or a towel, and meet at the west parking lot by the playground.

Tai Chi Form covers the first third of the form with a short section of meditation and warmup. Previous experience is recommended to get the most out of this class; however, this class is open to everyone, and any experience level is welcome.

Sunset Yoga at Acreage Cider House 

Experience a vinyasa yoga class on the lawn at the Lafayette Acreage Cider House, where you will link breath to movement through a series of postures designed to build heat, detoxify the body, and calm the soul.

Add in a magnificent sunset over the Rocky Mountains, and you'll feel nourished, energized, and restored.

Play in this recreational flag football league run in cooperation with Louisville. Twice-weekly practices, held locally, begin the week of Aug. 29 and are one hour in length.

Games will begin Sep. 9 and some travel to Louisville for games will be required. A mouthpiece is required.

High Interval Intensity Training

HIIT, or High-Intensity Interval Training, is a training technique that combines all-out quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods.
HIIT improves aerobic and anaerobic fitness, blood pressure, cardiovascular health, insulin sensitivity, and cholesterol. It reduces abdominal fat and lowers body weight while maintaining muscle mass.

This class is not recommended for beginner-level exercisers.

Feeling out of Place in the Weight Room?

Do you want to start using the weight room equipment but aren't sure how? Sign up for an orientation to proper weight room etiquette, how to use the Cybex Machines, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment.

If you are a local recreational or amateur artist age 55 or older, you are invited to display your 2-D original artwork at the Lafayette Senior Center during the month of September.
