Let's move, dance, and have fun! Our youth fall dance classes are now open and available for kids from three to 10 years of age. 

Instructors from Kinesis Dance, a dance education company providing recreational and pre-professional dance opportunities, teach our Youth Dance classes.
Kinesis believes in creating a positive, safe, and fun learning environment!

Skate-boarding Programs

Fall Skateboarding Programs

Learn how to be safe while having fun on your skateboard! We welcome skaters of all skill levels and will work on everything from learning how to stand and roll on your skateboard to challenging yourself by learning tricks. Build up to advanced park riding as we explore all the different features of the amazing Lafayette Skatepark. 

Equipment or supplies needed: Please bring a skateboard, helmet (other pads recommended), water bottle, sunscreen, and snacks.

Lafayette Birds!

Lafayette Birds! 

We invite beginning birders (families and adults) to experience the fun of birdwatching at this ongoing and fun opportunity on the first Sunday of each month. View ducks, herons, other water birds, and a variety of songbirds at the Greenlee Wildlife Preserve in Lake Waneka Park.

Meet at The Shack, located on the north side of Waneka Lake Park. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

High School Strength and Conditioning

This class is for high school athletes looking to improve their skills and prepare themselves for the upcoming season in various sports.

Integrating free weights, machines, and functional fitness, we'll focus on speed and power, agility and coordination, and stretching to help prevent injury. 

Mature 12-13 year-olds welcome if assessed by instructor

High Intensity Interval Training

High Interval Intensity Training

HIIT, or High-Intensity Interval Training, is a training technique that combines all-out quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods.

HIIT improves aerobic and anaerobic fitness, blood pressure, cardiovascular health, insulin sensitivity, and cholesterol. It reduces abdominal fat and lowers body weight while maintaining muscle mass.

This class is not recommended for beginner-level exercisers.

Youth Racquetball Classes

All levels will enjoy these small group lessons that take players through the high-speed world of racquetball. Build skills and stamina, and learn the rules of the game while enjoying some light competition.

Each participant must supply eye protection and a racquet. There is a minimum of two and a maximum of four players per group.

Weight Room Orientation

Feeling out of Place in the Weight Room?

Do you want to start using the weight room equipment but aren't sure how? Sign up for an orientation to proper weight room etiquette, how to use the Cybex Machines, free weights, and cardiovascular equipment.

For the price of admission, a certified personal trainer will provide a weight training orientation to anyone 12 years or older, including SilverSneakers and RenewActive members.

World Migratory Bird Day Celebration 

Explore the wonderful world of birds in a beautiful place! See live birds of prey up close and learn about migration, marshes, and the role avian friends play in our lives.

Enjoy games, art projects, and a scavenger hunt. This event will feature local organizations with great activities and displays to entertain and educate. No registration is required.

3rd Law Dance/Theater Dance for Parkinson's: Dance for Balance 

This program offers gentle movement classes for people living with Parkinson's or with other mobility considerations.
For Boulder Falls-Prevention Week, in chairs or standing, we will explore elements of different dance styles with energizing and inspiring music to accompany us. No experience is needed.

Have you always wanted to try the potter's wheel? Take a spin on the wheel in this test drive workshop. We'll guide you through the steps and help you make a piece to be proud of.
