All art, photo and poetry entries due Wednesday, September 18, 2019; 5 PM

Poets and 2-D artists of all kinds are invited to See & Respond to the 2019 Lafayette Colorado Art on the Street collection by writing poems or creating 2-D works of art in any medium that are inspired by any of the 2019 Art on the Street sculptures. Art on the Street 2020 - Now Open!

Submissions Due November 4, 2019
The City of Lafayette Public Art Committee is looking for submissions for the 2020 Art on the Street program. Art on the Street is the largest sculpture on loan program in Boulder County. Up to 20 works will be selected; artists will each receive a $1000 honorarium for their installation. Sculpture must be available for one year, with installation the first week of April 2020. All sculptures are for sale in this year long, outdoor art display. Artworks are eligible for the $1000 Jean Mellblom Award, the $500 People’s Choice Award, and the $500 Most Inspiring Award .

Art on the Street: See & Respond! Meet the Sculptors, Artists & Poets Reception

Saturday, October 19, 2019; 6:00—9:00 p.m.; Lafayette Public Library; 775 Baseline Road, Lafayette.
Join us for live music, art, a poetry reading, and wonderful community appreciation! Prizes will be awarded for See & Respond! entries and the winners of the 2019 Art on the Street Jean Mellblom Award and People’s Choice Award will be announced. We will serve hearty appetizers & desserts. Wine and beer will be available.
