My smoke or CO detector is beeping, but nothing is wrong. Why is it beeping?
Detectors often beep because the batteries are low or the detector is faulty. Try changing the batteries. If that doesn’t work you may need to replace the detector. Detectors should be changed every 10 years and the batteries should be changed every six months.
