For over 20 years, the City of Lafayette, the City of Louisville and Boulder County have united efforts to construct this regional trail which spans over 14 miles through the three locales. The mostly soft-surface trails parallel the two creeks for which they are named and give a variety of trail experiences and community access users enjoy.
Coal Creek Trail – 3.3 miles in Lafayette (10.1 miles total) - a soft-surface trail that parallels Coal Creek from 66th Street in Superior to Vista Parkway in Erie. Coal Creek Regional Trail
Rock Creek Trail – 2.4 miles in Lafayette (12 miles total) - a soft-surface trail that generally parallels Rock Creek from the Coalton Trailhead in Superior through the Carolyn Holmberg Preserve ending at the Rock Creek East Trailhead in Lafayette. Rock Creek Regional Trail

Sports: Biking, hiking, walking, running, cross country skiing
Activities: Bird watching, wildlife viewing
**Horseback riding is permitted only on Rock Creek Trail.**
Parking: Public Road Trailhead for CCT; Rock Creek East Trailhead and Rock Creek West Trailhead for RCT
Public Restroom: permanent facility at Flagg Park Trailhead
