Lafayette's Poet Laureate Presents: "Tales of a Jaguar"

Saturday, November 19, 2022

All ages - join us for a unique workshop, presentation, and poetry reading on the native experience, as told by Lafayette Poet Laureate and Maya Chief ZBassSpeaks. Learn and reflect upon the struggles of the First Nation and celebrate the resiliency of culture and how it pushes the movements for Indigenous rights. Write a guided poem from your heart on what you wish to say to yourself and to your human relatives.

About
ZBassSpeaks, also known as Z, is a Colorado-born multi-award winning indigenous spoken word artist, and Lafayette's Poet Laureate as of April 2022. Z has been writing for over 15 years, performing for youth and adults across the Denver metro area. Z’s writing is a mixture of culture and awareness put in rhythms of the spoken word art form to push the boundaries of poetry.
